Over the past year, Rice has responded to the call for greater attention to issues of race, racism and racial justice by developing the Center for African and African American Studies, the Task Force on Slavery, Segregation and Racial Injustice, and BRIDGE (Building Research on Inequality and Diversity to Grow Equity). These outward-facing initiatives are committed to dismantling racial disregard through an array of programming, including the following events.
